Lunch ideas for 9 month old

I'm struggling a bit for lunch ideas for my 9 month old and would love some inspiration.

He is allergic to wheat/gluten (not sure which yet, he is getting tested in November) and egg.

Tea times are sorted - he has either meat or fish with veg, pasta (gf) with chicken or beef etc.

I feel like I am stuck in a lunchtime rut of rice cakes or gluten free toast with hummus, cherry tomatoes, cucumber etc. A lot of the gluten free alternatives (crumpets, tortillas etc) are all a bit chewy for him and he gets frustrated.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

How about some homemade soup? You could freeze in batches Smile

Thanks. He wont let me spoon feed him (other than yogurt etc) and hasn't quite got the hang of dipping - bowls of things tend to get tipped up or used as finger paints!

I often do little lunch 'platters' at lunch

Just a couple of things from a long list including:

Avocado slices
Cheese
Cold chicken/ other leftover meat
Cucumber/ tomatoes/ carrots/ pepper
Mini corn
Houmous/ other dip/ nut butter
Pitta bread/ toast sometimes ( could add gluten free or leave out)

Basically anything leftover or random pieces. I find they eat much better not feeling overwhelmed by one big thing or sandwich only

At 9 months something like - 1/4-1/2 avocado, few cubes of cheese, slices of banana and cherry tomato would be a great lunch

To make it easier I would try and cook a little extra the night before so you can add leftovers easily the next day. Ie cook more brocoli or maybe if you have some leftover meat/ fish. All can be eaten cold or heated
