That's it really...

God knows, but tbh I'd just give them full size penne as they love to handle their food at that age and it's easier for them to pick up and gum.

The price!

MortifiedAdams · 01/08/2013 18:46

Same as a pp, I gave full size fussilli penne and rigatone.

Some baby pasta are glutton free... Or the toddler pasta in the shape of animals and alphabet I suppose are meant to be more fun. Mine is crazy about rice and pasta. She would eat nothing else if given the choice.

The price they can get away with charging!!!!!

All Pasta us fine for bubbas

Great stuff, thanks! Rigatoni would be good with the ridges, or the twirly ones!

Chatty I but animal pasta and there's only DH and me in the house, DC1 hasn't been born let alone weaned.

It does make dinnertime far more fun, I get rhinos, lions, monkeys and giraffes in my meal Grin

On a more serious note I think that most special baby food is a way of charging more.

GingerDoodle · 01/08/2013 20:58

When younger (7/8 months) I have my DD normal adult pasta (even filled stuff) blended up. Now 10 mo she gets it cut up or whole.

PurplePidjin · 01/08/2013 21:00

The Heinz stars are small and soft enough to be a good introduction to lumps. Everything else is just repackaged normal stuff.

chattychattyboomba · 01/08/2013 23:15

Agreed...
Madratlady you are a legend.
I kind of ate my pasta sauce with animal pasta and soaghetti last night when DH cooked up too much for Dd's dinner (but not enough for mine).
Also as a side note, all pasta is fine but spaghetti is redunculously messy!!!

Madratlady · 02/08/2013 07:34

I should probably point out that the main reason I get the animal pasta is because it's the cheapest brown pasta I could find I Asda. I do like it though!

sparklekitty · 03/08/2013 19:44

My DD loves fusilli, easy to hold and the sauce sticks on better. She shoves whole bits in.

Glad I'm not the only one who has a pasta fiend
