Plates, bowls, & floors

DS is 11 months, mostly BLW though I think they prob try to spoonfeed him at nursery.

Have been just cleaning high chair tray or table & putting food directly on there for him (generally not too much at a time as it seems to end up on the floor then). But wondering if I should've started getting him used to a bowl/plate by now?

Got to admit have been a bit reluctant to start just because of the thought that it'll probably all end up on the floor...what age were yours before you could safely leave a bowl in front of them w/o it being on the floor/their head/your head a minute later?

This is what you need:

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B003Z9LB4M

It has a suction cup that sticks to the highchair tray then the bowl locks onto it so that it can't be chucked on the floor. One of the best things we had bought for us by another mum.

Thanks, had looked at those ages ago but forgotten about them. Will they stick to a wooden table/tray though?

Tried to get it to stick to a wooden table when out for lunch today with no joy.

Ah, that's a pity. Thanks for letting me know! (Knew we should've got the Antilop highchair instead of a wooden one...)

Go and get the Antilop if you can! One of the best things we bought.

My little one tends to lift the bowl up and pour everything out and she is 9months. I heard about a brand called dribblies through social networking , bought one of their catcher scoop bibs and it has worked as I clean the scoop then put bits of fruit etc in the scoop and she takes the food out at her own pleasure! this will do whilst teaching her to self feed anyway lol
