Won't drink milk from beaker!

My daughter is now 11month old and she drinks all her water from a free flow beaker. I've read and have been told that she should be drinking milk also from a beaker so I went and brought a soft top non spill so it's more like a bottle but she really screamed and refused it. I've tried her with the free flow ones also but it ends up everywhere! We give her a bottle at bed still as we still feed her In her room and put straight down and she drinks this fine! It's been nearly a week now of trying her milk at breakfast n afternoon and worried she isn't getting enough because of her refusals. Do I give up and go back to all feeds from bottle or keep trying?

I wouldn't worry about it, mine only ever had milk from breast or bottle. My dd is 2.5 and still has 5oz of milk in a bottle before bed, she drinks water from a cup the rest of the time.

I clean her teeth twice a day and she doesn't fall asleep with bottle in her mouth or have it all the time, its literally five mins before bed. They grow out of it eventually.

My other four stopped at 18mths ds1, 3 yrs ds2, ds3 and ds4.

Its a comfort to her and she is still only little :)

Also milk is still an imp part to her diet under one she should be having 20oz a day and it is a main source of nutrition so let her have it in the bottle.

From a year they need 12oz of milk.

Mine gradually cut down to there bottles then two, then one, the bedtime one was always last to go.

Thank you so much for your comments. I was all in a tizzy worrying about it and she was getting so upset which was distressing for both of us. Back to bottle it is for now. X
