Can a 1yr old over eat?

DS, 13 mths, never really been bothered (until now) with tummy bugs. He has reflux, but its nothing like this. Last week he had yellow acidic poo and projectile vomited up his weetabix, it was horrible, i've never seen him so panicked. There was a bug in nursery so I just assumed it was that.
Today same thing, tomato pasta everywhere, even the walls. Poor thing got a fright. Earlier I did think he was getting through quite a bit (I spoon fed him as we were at a hospital bed) but pasta is one of his favs so I just assumed he was hungry.
He also can drink quite a bit of water from his sippy cup, but i'm thinking surely that wouldn't make him sick?
Do you think its a virus or could it be overeating? We do BLW so its always very hit or miss what he eats. Poo is normal now :) but he has been cranky, I assumed teething.
Thanks for reading

Sounds like it could be a bug. How's he doing now?

SwivelHips · 03/07/2013 20:49

Nursery staff say he was fine, ate all his food etc he also had a snack post nursery and 8oz. So is it likely I've been overfeeding him? I just thought that they knew themselves when they were full....maybe he's just greedy like his mother Blush

Usually they do self regulate with food. How's he been overnight?

SwivelHips · 04/07/2013 17:41

Thanks JJJ. Again fine overnight (well not really, but thats another thread for sleep thread on another day!!) no more sickness and again fine today at nursery. Overfeeding then perhaps?

My DS1 did this. He would eat too much and do enormous projectile sicks. The carpet is still not recovered. We had to tell nursery no seconds as if he liked something he ate too much. He would do it with milk now and again too. Very messy! He grew out of it but I did limit food to sensible portion sizes.

Interestingly he was also a very sicky baby.

I am pretty clueless about portion sizes, even what I put out for me and DH I know is wayyy too much. I'll try and get one of those plates with the portions drawn out. Might see if I can get one for me too :)
Thank you
