We started on BLW a couple of weeks ago with my DD but the doctor thinks she has cows milk protein intolerance. Can anyone reccomend any good dairy free books/recipes/ dairy alternatives we can use?

Hi,
I just do normal recipes swapping milk with calcium enriched oat milk and butter with stork or vitalite.

For cereal and coffee I use fresh almond milk, it's delicious. Pancakes are nice made with almond milk too.

Can you have soy? My ds1 couldn't as the proteins are similar to cows milk, but ds2 can. Tesco do lots of free from dairy fresh produce, but it's soy based.
Rice pudding is nice made with coconut milk.

Hello!

My 10 month old son is breastfed and we're doing baby led weaning too. He was diagnosed with Cow's Milk Protein Intolerance on Monday. Then on Wednesday had an allergic reaction to soya.

I don't have any good ideas as we're still a bit new to the whole thing. I just thought I'd keep you company. (And steal any ideas that come up!) Smile

Look at the Allergies threads. There's a few good threads with suggestions of lazy treat foods.

We tried Sainsburys basics garlic bread yesterday- it's dairy free!

It's also good to look at

Although you need to watch for soya ingredients.

Sorry some premature posts!

She projectile vomits with formula and had eczema head to toe. I think I will push to have her allergy tested as after 4 weeks with no dairy there is no improvement in her skin!
