Should be ok if you go gently - introduce just a little at first as he / she may be a bit young. Pulses are notorious for causing wind problems. If you are on the cautious side I would wait another couple of months. They don't need a lot of protein at this age whatever your hv might say - there is lots in whatever milk they are having, and also a useful amount in carbohydrates.

Sorry reread your post - are they tinned? Avoid any with salt in. Better to boil up your own IMO.

WibbleWobbleBum · 23/04/2006 21:01

Was just going to post almost exactly what Franny said ...

Wind problems, Franny? Is this a personal observation? ShockGrin

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2006 21:07

Greeny, you are obsessed with my arse today Shock

Greensleeves · 23/04/2006 21:20

By all accounts, Franny, you have no arse to speak of Wink

pookey · 23/04/2006 21:22

Thanks, they are salt free but will give packets a go next time. Will try them and see what happens - he loved lentils mixed with sweet potato (couldnt find organic lentils in waitrose). Maybe i will stick to lunch for beans and not mix them with broccers, dont want him up all night with a windy bottom Shock

Yes avoid cauliflower, sprouts and cabbage too pookey.

Please ignore this rude person crashing your thread to make personal remarks about me, pookey. Unfortunately when you are as popular as I am on this site you get some terrible jealousy stirred up - it's very sad Shock

'tis true - I nearly had an out-of-body experience digging the damn pumpkin patch. Think cow dung and clay, baked hard in the sun - like breaking rocks on a chain gang Grin

but you is still a farty beanqueen GrinGrin
