Is it ok to 'pause' weaning?

I've just started weaning my 3rd DS at 5 months. At 4 months he seemed very interested in food and was waking early, but I tried my hardest and waited until 5. His sleeping had improved and now he doesn't seem so interested in food. He will have at most 1 or 2 spoonfuls of food (I've tried babyrice, mashed banana or carrot over the last few days).

We're all moving next week, and as he isn't, as it turns out, particularly interested in food at the moment, would it be OK to stop weaning him and 'pause' it until after the move? Has anyone done this or is it likely to confuse him and perhaps cause problems later down the line?

He's healthy, of good weight and breast fed (with one formula bottle at night) at other times.

Cheers

It won't confuse him I shouldn't think and it doesn't sound like he would be particularly bothered. I'd stop and start again when you are ready. Give yourself the treat of a quiet lunch by yourself while he's asleep Smile.

Once he's older he can just eat what you have and he will probably show a little more interest.
