Vegetable hotpot. Don't puree the hotpot - just make it small lumps and cook for ages so the lumps are really soft - it'll give her chance to get used to texture. For variation you can add a chopped up meatball. Or small pasta (but don't mention baby pasta Wink) or rice.

Can I be less worried about salt now then?

Have I missed something with the baby pasta?

You can use a small amount of salt as part of a healthy balanced diet. No processed foods/ready meals as they contain shedloads of the stuff. There are always rows about baby pasta - I didn't realise why until I got involved in a thread where someone suggested the Organic Beatrix Potter stuff which weight for weight probably costs more than gold. Its just another marketing ploy when in reality you can either chop up adult pasta or use the tiny pasta you can buy in Italian Delis for about 50p.

Do you want to know how to make your own meatballs by the way?

couscous is your friend. Really simple to make, chop some veg into it or add one of your purees. DS adores it with chopped toms, celery and mint, its his staple.
