This is a genuine question, I have a 10 month old was wondering if it's ok to give her a bit of tea in a beaker dp asked this. I'm not sure if I should, obv not as a regular thing just to try it. Is it really bad I know it contains tanin which disrupts the absorbtion of iron but if she only has it very occasionally will it do her harm, sorry i know this is stupid to ask but i am really confused.

I really wouldn't bother. It's not good for her, there are many drinks that are better for her than tea. Not even just to try it.

I am quite lax about food, btw, not a food Nazi at all, but really see no benefit in tea for babies.

It wont do her any harm, but it really is pointless imo.

I wouldn't, but then I only give water (9m). Don't see the point in giving anything else (except milk!) at this age really, unless you're struggling to get her to accept water (in which case watery juice is better than tea)

Thankyou, that's what I thought, plenty of time for tea when she is older, I don't even like it myself. Dp's idea, you see Smile
