Right, what is your 7 month old eating.....

Because mine is eating really not much. Apart from petit filous, of course, most things just don't do it for her. She loves sucking rusks and toast, and squishing raspberries so her highchair looks like a murder scene but that's about it. Oh and she's partial to a bit of mashed banana. I think it is me who is having crisis of confidence. She's a teeny weeny 7 mother (think 4 months size) so i worry, yet she's my third dc so allegedly I should know what I'm doing.

Help! I am getting my knickers in a twist worrying I am depriving her of essential nutrients/vitamins/stunting her growth? She's a formula fed baby btw.

Don't worry too much - what have you offered her? I would just keep offering her a range of different things to try. If she doesn't eat something one day, try it again a few days later. I would say though, both rusks and petit filous are packed full of sugar, so maybe swap these for things which aren't so sweet, as she may get used to really sweet things and then turn her nose up at anything else.

Mine is having, most fruits except kiwi because he seemed to really hate it, he loves philadelpia on toast or bagels, avocado mushed into toast, scrambled egg, chicken breast to suck on throw to the dog when he finished, ditto sandwich steak, broccolli cheese, carrot sticks, roast potatoe, meatballs, he puts most of these in his mouth has a little suck and spits them out, don't stress too much, just keep offering, my little boy is also partial to a Jaffa cake

This was the pineapple stage in our house. We used to cut it into square batons 3 or 4 inches long and she'd pick it up and suck it for ages. Mostly just juice I suspect, but she did get some 'roughage' as well. Cucumber too - she used to start gnawing on that in the supermarket trolley given half a chance. I assume soft, watery stuff is nice if you have teeth bubbling under.

Pineapple is very sticky, though.

My nearly 7 month old eats small amounts of whatever I mush of our dinner minus the salt, plus she sucks or chews on banana, cucumber, melon, cooked carrot, corguette, strawberries, squished blueberries, apple (steamed to soften), cheese, rice. Just put a selection of random stuff on the tray and let them investigate, milk provides the bulk of their nutrients until they are 1 anyway.

Ahh, I feel a bit better now I've read your replies. Today she mushed pieces of pasta and green beans, as the other two had that with sausages. I held back giving her the sausage though as worried about salt level. She will suck/gum on pear, apple, strawberry, banana, carrot, and even lemon! I will try pineapple though, good idea. She also loves toast, especially if I'm eating it with lemon curd Blush. I shall keep on plodding then, and not worry about the intake.
