refusing his bottle

so today darling lo has decided he's too grown up for bottles in the daytime and has refused his milk all day, ordinarily he'd take about 12oz during the day but today i've managed to coax him in to having about 3/4oz

any ideas?! i know he still needs his milk but after todays battle i might just give up on offering the bigger daytime bottles and just give him a cup with some in at mealtimes? what do you reckon he's 28 weeks!

oh i should add he's been difficult to get to take milk for a few days but today we reached a breaking point!

TIA xxx

i should also add he has just wolfed down all of his dinner and a pudding and has been gulping back water from his cup so he is both hungry and thirsty, is he just growing out of the bottle maybe?! xxx

hannah between 6 months and 12 months he needs 20oz of formula a day. It is much more important that he gets his milk than his solids. The current recommendation is to give him his bottle an hour before his solids so that he will take his main nutrition from the formula. Once he has reached 12 months it is fine to ditch the bottles but between 12 and 24 months he will need 300ml of full fat cows milk per day.
