Can a 13 month old have seeds?

We are BLW and I wanted to increase the variety of DD's snacks. Can she have seeds like sunflower and pumpkin seeds or would they be a choking risk like nuts? Confused

I don't know the answer to your question but my dd is 12 months and has seeded bread. I started giving her 'best of both' but she always wanted to eat my toast/sandwiches so she has been eating this since she was about 9 months. The bread has big pumpkin seeds in and she manages them fine. However, they are soft because they have been baked. I think it would probably depend on the amount of teeth she has and how easy the seeds are to chew.

I also have given DD seeded bread. But like Mamabear says, it's very different when baked, they became very soft. I wouldn't give sunflower and pumpkin seeds raw as they do feel quite hard, don't they?

Same with walnut pieces in bread and cakes, btw. They became very soft. I test them by squishing them with my tongue.
