DD's feeds have dropped. She has never been a particularly good feeder but has always put on weight and is happy and healthy.

Currently she has 4 bottle feeds a day (when she wakes, 10, 2:30 and 7) and 2 meals at 12 and 5. The meals consist of 2 ice cubes of either a fruit or veg ( only been going a few weeks) am looking to start her with breakfast next week made up with part of her am formula feed.

the amount of milk she takes has dropped, she now will only take about 4/5 ounces at every feed except her 7pm which she will take between 6/8 ounces.

I've read that follow on milk have more nutrients in it and is designed for when weaning is introduced. I'm reluctant to change her formula because of the issues we had with milk when she was first born.

Any advice?

She is just over 6 months. I am worried she is not getting all she needs. Her poo has changed as well. When we first started giving her solids it went really solid now it is really, really loose with little lumps in it (The things parents talk about eh?)

I don't see the HV til next month so just looking for some advice. I never changed with DS but he was (an is) a much better feeder than she.

You don't need to change the milk, first milk is suitable up to 12 months, when you can use cows milk.

Follow on milk does tend to have a lot of added iron, most of which is very poorly absorbed and can cause constipation. Better to get the iron from a good varied diet, having vitamin c rich foods with iron rich food helps it to be absorbed best. It mainly exists to get around the law that says you cannot promote infant milks.
