Sweeping food off the table

DS is 10 months, and we are BLW. He generally loves his food. However, he has recently started swiping his arm across the table so that everything goes flying. I don't think it's because he's full or not interested, because he'll often tuck in when I 'recycle' bits from the mat under his high chair! How should I react? I currently hold his hands (gently!), try to get him to look at me, and then say 'no' in a firm voice. He clearly thinks it's the most brilliant game ever. I don't want to make a massive deal out of it but nor do I want to spend any more time scraping lovingly created lentil wedge off the walls.

Maybe too much on the tray? I know that if I overload DS's tray he gets overwhelmed and most of it ends up on the floor! When I give him just a few bits to concentrate on they tend to make it into his mouth..... Sometimes!! Might be worth a try? HTH

Thanks Hodgie, will give that a go!

The old windscreen wiper arms! What Hodgie said. :) And I just wouldn't react when he does it. My little boy thinks "NO!" and "STOP" are the most hilarious words ever.

DD does this unless / until there is only one thing on the tray. I think she struggles to make a decision about what to eat first just like DH doesn't know where to park in an empty car park
