My 13month old eats great sometimes and rubbish other times!
What do you feed yours?
How much?
Do you still give milk feeds?
Do they eat?
What do you avoid and when?

Please help - also do you have like a meal planner?

Thanks x

at this age, mine was having:

BF on waking
porridge for breakfast with whole milk
Expressed milk (about 4-6 oz)with morning snack - cheese, rice cake, fruit etc
lunch with a bit of water - hot meal - mash and veg, or scrambled eggs and beans, or pasta bake - lots really
afternoon snack with water or expressed milk if he didn't have much in the morning - fruit, cracker, etc
dinner - sandwiches and a yoghurt.
BF when I got home from work
then another BF before bed.

Sometimes he ate lots, because sometimes he picked, but he would always eat breakfast and have all his milk feeds. his appetite tended to wane throughout the day and now (a few months later), he still prefers to eat larger meals towards the beginning of the day.

don't have a meal planner, but i do batch cook 4 portions everytime and freeze three, eat one. the BLW website has lots of great recipes, that gave me a good starting point.

Thank you! So you do a sort of tea time meal at dinner time instead and a small tea? I'm going to try that! Thanks

My 13mth old typically has:

6:30am 150ml bottle
7:45am fruit e.g. a banana or a few strawberries followed by a handful of shreddies soaked in whole milk
12noon: Proper main meal - mixed veg, some meat, pasta shapes or rice cakes, yoghurt or fruit pot
3pm 150ml bottle (trying to introduce a cup - see seperate post!)
5pm tea - normally 1-2 slices of wholemeal bread made into mini sandwiches with dairylea or marmite plus some sliced cucumber or a babybel then a fruit pot or yoghurt
6:30pm 200ml bottle before bed

I've posted seperately about how much milk as a bit confused. Like the last poster I find my little girl eats better at lunch so made that her main meal. Nearly everything is finger food but some things she lets me spoon feed e.g. lasagne.

Not sure about yours but my LO isn't interested in using a spoon now - she used to be up for it but now its all finger food!

DS is 14m and has:
-breastfeed in morning (5am Sad goes back to sleep after though!)
-9am breakfast: cereal with milk. Probably about half the amount an adult would have. As an aside, we used to give him rice krispies, which he likes, but they don't fill him up enough and he'd get really grumpy. So now we do weetabix/porridge/wheaties
-12pm milk: glass of cows milk, probably about 150-200ml
-1.30pm lunch: 1 slice of bread with dairylea/peanutbutter/jam, some cheese, some fruit
-4.30pm snack: some (dried)fruit and/or cheese
-7pm dinner: whatever we're having. Quantity he eats depends on whether he likes it or not. Dessert is usually some fromage frais with either fresh or tinned fruit
-8pm breastfeed before bed

Generally we take the approach of looking more generally at what he eats during a whole week, rather than in one day/one sitting. It's natural he wouldn't like certain things or have an off day where he's not very hungry in which case we don't push him and let him just get on with it. It seems to work for us as he eats well. I honestly don't know whether it's because of our laid back attitude or because he's just generally non-fussy. I've been very determined from the start not to make food into an issue, as it was a huge issue for me when I was little and I want DS to have a better relationship with food than I did.
