Weaning off night time feeds

Hii everyone

I've a dilemma on my hands. Just to give everyone a little info about why i need to have my lo weaned within 2 weeks.

Currently i have 8wks (today) left if my pregnancy. I have dd2 coming. Dd1 has sucked me dry. I have no milk what so ever left. I know this because even after 15 minutes of constant bf he still needs juice ur h2o to gef rid of his thirst. I have managed to get him off day time bf totally but it does takd me sometimes up2 half an hour to put him down for nap n he will wake up to have a drink inbetween his 2 hour nap!! I don't mind walking and singing to hom in broad day lighg when i'm wide awake. It's the night feeding i haven't managed to stop and i seriously need help and advice.

I did a thread just a couple of weeks ago bragging how i manged to get lo into cot and sleeping through the night and only waking for 1 feed. As soon as he realised i put him in cot he wakes up for more feeds or for cuddles every 2 hours. The cot thing is another issue, i don't think everything can get resolved at once.

My physio and midwife have advised me to get as much rest as possible before this next baby cmes along. At this moment of time i have got swollen everything, pulled muscles, lower back, pelvic bone and him physio needed regularly. When dd1 arrived a had aftr bleed for upto 12 weeks. I want to have a natural birth but have been told if i carry on the way i am it may be impossible and i may bleed longer. And to top it of the skin on mu nipples have started to peel off:(

To conclude has anyone got any advice on how to stop his feeds, what drinks are safe for nighttime as he will not drink anysort of milk. And whether there is a comforter that i can use so he's not using me?( soother, toy)

Try posting in the topic called "breast and bottle feeding" -I'm sure you will get some more replies there, and there are various BF experts who post there who can help too. Smile.

I would give the National Breastfeeding Helpline a call on 0300 100 0212 and speak to a fully trained BFC. (Posting in Breast & Bottle is a good idea too).

Have a read of 12 alternatives for the all night nurser, it might help Smile.
