introducing new foods

I have been weaning my son now for more than a month, although he only turned 6 months yesterday. all has been going well and we're on 3 small meals a day. at the start i introduced everything slowly, trying each food for at least 3 days before trying anything else new. But now he's bigger i'm eager to try him on lots of different foods but am not sure if i'm ok to do this or if i still have to wait 3 days each time. For instance we tried tomotoes yesteday for the first time which he loved, now do i have to give them him again today and tomorrow introducing nothing else , or am i ok to speed up the process? any advice would be appreciated!

also, i make lots of homemade soups, all with ingredients my baby's already tried, but i use home made stock which has salt on the ingredients. i'd love him to try my soups but don't want to in case the salt is too much. anyone have any knowledge with this?

Do not obsess about salt, the amount in the stock will not be too much. (They actually need really quite a lot of salt, if they eat the same meals as you, you'll way exceed your RDlimits of salt before they do. Obviously don't give them really salty food - especially if you only give them one thing, but some soup with stock, it's fine.

We just gave baby food, exactly what we ate, every day, no gradual introduction or anything else. If you think there's a very high chance of allergies it might be worth it - so you can identify quickly (but equally by giving lots of an allergenic food it may make the symptoms worse) but I really wouldn't do it otherwise, just crack on with food.
