when/how to drop the dream feed (for those on bottles)

My DD is 10mo. Her feeding routine is like this:

6:30-7am - 6-7oz bottle
8:00am - breakfast (usually baby cereal)
10:30am - snack (ex. cheese & breadsticks, fruit, rice cakes, that kind of thing)
12:00 ish - lunch
2:30 - 3pm - 5-7oz bottle
5pm - dinner
6:30pm - bottle (doesn't always drink that much)
10pm - dream feed

So, she eats quite a lot! She seems to need it but I'm wondering what milk feed to drop first, and how? If I add up all the leftover milk in her bottles in totals a full one, so I think she is ready. She eats really well and absolutely loves her food. She's such a good sleeper too, and I suppose I'm afraid to drop that last feed of the day because she has goes through until 6:30am most nights.

When should I be trying to get her milk feeds down, and how? Any advice?

We dropped the dreamfeed by bringing it forward by 15 mins and reducing it by 30ml. Then after we'd done that for a few days, we did the same again - 30mls less and another 15 mins earlier. Once we'd got to the stage where our DD (who was 7 months old) was having only about 90mls around 9pm we dropped it completely. She still slept through til the same time.

We just Went cold turkey at around 7 months. I stopped breastfeeding and DD went on to bottles at all feeds at that point, so I knew how much she was taking. Her feeding times are pretty much the same as yours. I was terrified of dropping it, as she slept 11-7 from about 9 weeks, so really didn't want to disrupt that and go back to night waking. However, we only had waking up for a couple of nights. I gave her a bit of water and she went back to sleep.

Good luck!

Just drop it and see what happens. If it doesn't work reintroduce it Smile
