we used those sippy cups with a soft spout, they are a small move away from the baby bottle, and dcs seemed ok ( not happy, but ok) to make the switch.

Hi
I know loads of babies who continue to have milk in the morning and evening for a long time - there is nothing that 'says' you have to stop giving your dd her milk. Especially if she doesn't drink any during the day - milk is good for them. I still drink milk myself often before bed because I love it! (Although I stick to skim and obviously not in a bottle..!!). If it's the bottle that you don't want her to have, try what missmapp says and gradually transition her from the bottle to the cup (i.e. start with some milk in the bottle, then finish in the cup, and gradually increase the milk in the cup and decrease in the bottle). A friend I knew made the hole in the teat bigger so it no longer was a comfort thing and then her DD went to the cup instead.

I think switching them from the bottle to the cup is one of those things that requires lots of persistence and patience - it won't happen overnight. I wouldn't worry about her still having her milk though morning and night.
