Too salty. Had some last week and it tasted like solidified sea water.

yousankmybattleship · 30/04/2012 18:04

Maybe with a poached quals egg....?

(I have no idea of real answer by the way, but your question did make me chuckle)

Ds had it at nearly 1 when we were in Norfolk, he loved it, he also appreciated dressed Cromer crabGrin

Pascha · 30/04/2012 18:10

I definitely would, (well I wouldn't because its horrible), but a very small amount.

DonInKillerHeels · 30/04/2012 18:13

Samphire...yum. Not poncetastic at all. Local produce. Can't go wrong.

Atreegrowsinbrooklyn · 30/04/2012 18:13

TBH I've yet to meet a kid who doesn't adore dunking asparagus spears into a dippy egg ...... Gotta be worth a 7 on the ponce-o-meter

Smellslikeweenspirits · 30/04/2012 18:17

I'm doing it. She's loving it but boy it is salty so I shall have to eat the rest myself

2 year old gagged and called for evian water bloody prole that he is

We are partial to a quail egg or 6 too when they've been reduced

I'm seriously impressed!

Does she have a finger bowl?

Smellslikeweenspirits · 30/04/2012 18:50

Yes a tommy tipee one. And a servant to administer it (me)

It's possibly not local, the waitrose stuff comes from the middle east I think. It's not that hideously salty (A samphire sandwich would probably provide more salt in the bread, it's about twice as salty) I wouldn't be worried.

kittyandthefontanelles · 03/05/2012 20:58

Far too salty I'd say, but gorgeous though. Shame, suppose that means I'll have to eat it all. Even if it is natural salt its still sea salt isn't it?
