We are not really doing purées. But not quite doing baby led Weening either.
How can I give my eight month old DD more fruit?

And what can I give as snacks?

Not sure what you mean - just give her pieces of fruit (cut grapes in half though).

Other snacks - toast, crackers, rice cakes, sticks of cheese.

Just run out of ideas I think. Grin
she ges plenty of bread based products sandwiches breadsticks pitta bread etc.
Cheese sticks is a good idea.
Is she old enough for cut up grapes?
So I could start with raisins too
So would I just peel and slice an apple?

I sound like I don't have a clue. You wouldn't believe she was DC4

No need to peel the apple, probably needs to be cut up, same with pear, peach, nectarine, plum.
Satsuma/tangerine/other citrus - either chop the end off or slit down the side of the segment to she can get into the juice/flesh.
Strawberries maybe sliced into little smaller depending on size.
Grapes, yes just half or quarter them (long ways), raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, raisins other dried fruit etc. can just be given whole almost certainly.

DD1 was eating all those things since 6mo, and had no trouble. By 8mo I think she could just bite into the outside of a whole very ripe tomato and eat it like we would an apple. You'll soon find out what are the right size pieces for her to get on with, there's no fruit you can't give at 8mo, so just watch thick skinned throat sized things like grapes are cut small such that it's not a risk of choking and enjoy.

Just giving them a whole/half an apple is quite good as they can only nibble off little bits and you don't have to worry about them biting a choking-size chunk.
