What does your 12mo have for breakfast?

Dd usually has readybrek with some bananas in it or some baby porridge/ cereal thingy (which are £££ for dust).
I can't give her wee rabid as it does funny things to her digestion and nursery panic about the v runny poops it produces. Hmm

Any other suggestions? :)

Mine usually has weetabix but also toast sometimes. For a change he might have a little pancake, muffin, crumpet or we've recently discovered toasting waffles. All with either a banana or other fruit.

Yoghurt and fruit, crumpet, omelette if I'm feeling energetic, blueberry wheats are good.

A bit of spread sometimes. More often marmite or banana. DS's favourite game right now is to beg for bits of daddy's marmite crumpet with pleading eyes and a cheeky smile.

Definitely a bit of butter or Philadelphia on crumpets. They're not pleasant to eat dry Wink

Normal porridge with fruit - usually raspberries or blueberries. Maybe a piece of toast aswell if she's really hungry.

Pancakes at the weekend sometimes.

Same as virtually everyone here... porridge (RB or similar consitency) with chopped banana and soft fruits, and an orange. Sometimes toast or hot cross bun for a change, with a yoghurt for dairy.

Then a few spoonfuls of whatever sugar-loaded cereal I'm eating. I am bad...I put a dash of maple syrup in the porridge to make it palatable too.

Dd is 17m but has had same thing since she was 7m. Porridge, cereal, toast, yogurts. Usually has fruit about 1hr later too. Sometimes has croissants/crumpets/pancakes etc and very occasionally scrambled egg.

I often struggle for spreads that aren't sugar filled jam or general rubbish...

My 13 month DS has weetabix, puffed wheat or porridge with banana cooked in it followed by a bit of toast, croissant, crumpet or pain au chocolate if I'm having them.

At a weekend if we're having a cooked breakfast (which is rare) he'll have a little bit of ours. I keep meaning to try him with some eggy bread which I love but don't have very often.

DS is actually only 28 weeks but he has what I have just as dd did...

Cereal of various kinds (not baby cereal, not necessary) but likes porridge best, eggs in various forms, yoghurt, fruit, muffins, crumpets, toast etc.

Boiled egg and soldiers go down a treat - also banana drop scones - can also add blueberries - only take few mins to make.

I tend to put some healthy cereal at bootom of bowl & top with sthg less healthy so she ends up eating it all...

My dd loves mashed banana on toast! If not then cereal followed by fruit, generally weetabix, rice crispies or porridge. Plain Yogurt and berries is good also.

Porridge, or I make Bircher musli so we can share, as I don't like porridge. It involves soaking the oats in milk overnight and then in the morning stirring in yogurt and grated apple. I'm looking out for a better recipe at the moment, I think some put the apple in the night before too.

I found grated apple to be a useful weaning tool in general.

DS likes oats soaked overnight in fruit juice and with natural yogurt stirred in, in the morning (sounds gross, looks gross, but actually really nice!).

On a weekend we might give him pancakes, or drop scones are good (if you make them the night before you can warm them up in the toaster) served with philly/maple syrup/jam.

Regular porridge. It's cheap and so easy to spruce up with different things: banana, raisins, other dried fruit, fresh fruit, frozen fruit, cocoa powder (the type without sugar added).

My ds is 1 in 2 weeks and i can tell hes staring to be a little sod in the fedding dept.

For breakfast he will have some weetabix/porridge, rarely finishes it though. He will have a bite of toast then rip it up and throw it around, but will happily eat off my plate.

keeping a watch on this for new ideas...

Some other ideas are bitesize shredded wheat (my DD likes to pick these up with her hands), shreddies (not very often as they do have a bit of sugar in), rice krispies, ready brek with added blueberries, apricot, raisins, grated Apple or pear or banana.

Bitesize shredded wheat and mini weetabix (they dont go soggy), are great for finger food. I tend to let them sit in the milk for a few minutes then pour some of it our to stop it turning into mush.
Shreddies and cheerios are good for a wee change. I tend to buy the supermarkets own brand as it has less sugar/salt.
Panckes with a wee bit of butter or peanut butter. Toast.

Then fruit of some description Smile
