Hiya, my DD is 25 weeks today, so not far off 6 months. I started to give her some solids for her last feed (around 7/8pm) about 3 weeks ago.

It started off very well, although now she seems to only want to eat her Truly Fruits! But then she is just getting over a cold, so am I right in thinking that this would affect what she will eat? So that is my first concern.

My second is that members of my family keep asking when am I going to wean her properly! What they mean is when am I going to start increasing the amount of meals per day? As I started early (before she turned 6 months) I thought I would wait until she was 6 months before trying solids at lunch and breakie. She is my first so this is all very new to me. They dont seem to understand that the guidelines are from 6 months, not that I have followed this rule but they are starting to put a bit of pressure on me and now I am wondering if I should have increased to lunch and breakie already?

What do you think? Sorry that it is a bit of a ramble!

ditto PB! go at a rate that suits you and your dd.
ignore everyone tleling you to give her roast dinners and the like... you always get them!

Absolutely start feeding her more meals when you're ready.

What are Truly Fruits? They do go through phases of having preferences, but they always tend to prefer sweet stuff if it's on offer.

Truly fruits are yoghurts, I am sure they are organic but I am not 100% without checking.

Thanks for your responses and support, x

Yogurt is good for them, but yogurts with fruit in tend to be pretty processed. Do they have added sugar?

Banana, mashed up with a fork, mixed with nice plain full-fat yogurt, is really nice, and very good for them. Probably also cheaper.
