Snacks

DD is 11 mo and I've never really got the hang of snacks other than the odd rice cake or bread stick whilst tea is going made. What do you offer as snacks?

Do you do both a morning and afternoon snack? How do you fit them round naps? She is still on 2 naps per day.

DD is breastfed and has a morning feed, after work feed (4/5pm), bedtime feed and a min of 2 feeds at night so I'd rather not add in additional milk feeds.

Thanks.

I swapped mid morning and mid afternoon feeds for snacks. Have to be substantial though to make up for the lack ofmilk. Cheese/yoghurt/hummus/toast/biscuits/bananas/avocado on rice cakes?

My DS is 10 mo,
He tends to have a shorter morning nap in the morning so sometimes i can fit a snack in then. He is FF and gets 3 bottles a day. One at 7.15am then 2.30 and then bedtime. Sleeps from 7 till 7. Im hoping to gradually reduce the afternoon bottle and replace it with a snack and drink of milk when he hits 12month.

Try and avoid adding milk feeds as you will be aiming to cut them down over the next couple of months. Can you start to reduce the during the night feeds as it sounds as though she is snacking on you!!

If we are out and about. I tend to carry raisins or some fruit in case he is getting bored/hungry. He loves watermelon and kiwi fruit at the moment Smile
