HELP - MY BABY REFUSES TO EAT DAIRY PRODUCTS.....

Hi, I'm just hoping that someone out there has experienced the same problem or is able to give some advice as I'm at my wits end!!
My dd is is 13 months and has always refused all dairy products and continues to do so. Up until now it hasn't really bothered me that much as I was breast feeding her, but now breastmilk is scarce and I am concerned that she is not getting enough calcium in her diet. No matter what way I try and sneak something in she won't have any of it. Another thing that is driving me mad is that I'm having to feed her with my hand as she absolutely refuses a spoon ( I know it sounds like I am spoiling here but it's the only way I can get her to eat something).
I find myself replacing the morning breast feed with a bottle of apple juice with a jar of banana in it plus some crushed up farley type biscuits. She has that ok but I'm worried it's too sugary. PLEASE HELP!!

Might be an idea to trawl through the allergy section for things related to cows milk allergies. They will have suggestions for things instead of dairy products.

What you can do is make a pasta sauce type thing and put milk or cream in it. Have you tried grating cheese in amongst food as well?

hi, yeah I'll give that a shot.

I've tried added abit of grated cheese into some minestrone a couple of times and she spits it out. Then I tried adding some cream to a pasta sauce but no luck what so ever. A coule of days back I gave her this kinder snack bar which had a milk filling and she was sick...

There a quite a few non dairy foods that contain calcium eg, tofu, soya, pulses, orange jiuce, dried fruit, green vegetables and bread. Some things contain more calcium than others, and better absorbed when combined with other types of food. Haven't got any more detailed info I'm afraid but hope this helps a bit. Must some vegans out there who could help
