How much does your weaned toddler drink?

My 13 month old DD is weaned onto food now except for one bottle at bedtime. I tend to have fluid on offer for her most of the time but recently she seems to be drinking just for the sake of it rather than actual need, as she has drank so much a couple of times that she has actually made herself sick and obviously I want to avoid this. We use the tommee tippee cup that holds 200ml and she gets a cup of fruit juice at meals so 3 times a day and also watered down juice in between meals so one cup each in the mid morning and mid afternoon, does this sound like enough?

Fluid wise yes, but is there any reason why she's having fruit juice 3 times a day rather than just water?

If she's offered just water, she may drink less 'for the sake of it' - if it's juice then it'll taste very, very nice and very, very sweet, and I certainly drink for the sake of it if something tastes nice, whereas if it's just water, I'll drink what I need to.

DD (22mo) has a cup of milk in the morning, and then a bigger cup of water for the rest of the day, available at all times, and refilled if necessary (never needs refilling though, she never finishes it)

She doesn't drink water I have tried a few times to get her to drink it both out of a cup and a bottle and she was refusing it so I was worried about dehydration once she started dropping bottles, I go with fruit juice at meal times as she is a bit of a picky eater, always has been, and will eat something one day and refuse it the next so at least I know she is getting some goodness and vitamins into her if she eats very little at a meal.

You could steadily dilute the juice?

DS has water with meals and a straw beaker in between to take the odd sip from during the day. If he doesn't have water between meals his poos are hard and painful for him.

I still add water to fruit juice when I give it to my lo's who are now age 5 and 8! You could start watering it down slowly as the acids/fruit sugars are bad for her teeth.

You could also try giving a small drink of milk in a cup and that would help make a move to dropping the bottle at bedtime. Does she take any dairy products as a minimum of around 12oz of milk/other sources of calcium is recommended from 1 year? My 2 still had milk in the am and pm at that age.

I think mine drinks too much! She has about 6oz milk with breakfast (from a big girl cup) then she has maybe an 8oz bottle of water around at all times. She goes through anything up to 4 of them, and then more milk at bedtime. She's 18months. I worried a bit that it's too much, but since it's only ever water I don't really bother too much, her dad is ALWAYS thirsty, so maybe she just takes after him.
I would definitely start diluting out the juice, just Addi g a little bit of water at a time. And re the vitamins, you can get drops that go in their cows milk to take place of all the stuff in baby milk
