Getting DD off her night time bottle

Hi my DD has just turned one and has easily dropped her day time bottles with out any problem but she will not have cows milk (not really worried about this as she has plenty of yogurts and cheese etc for calcium and water for hydration) but I am not sure how to go about getting her off the bedtime bottle and what I could give her as a substitute so she is not waking hungry during the night. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

We gave DD a cup of milk without a lid in the bath before bed. Mainly so that she could get used to using a cup and it didn't matter if she spilt any.

What's her bedtime routine now? Does she have bath, book, bottle then bed?

Why do you want her off it?
Both older dcs still had a bedtime bottle until they gave it up themselves.
Ds2 still has one in the morning and one at night (milk), its a nice routine and he still loves his 'boccy'

I dont understand this obsession with getting kids off bottles/dummies/nappies if they obviously dont want to and its just some parental competition thing

Forgot to say ds2 is 2.2

If that's the only bottle she has then it won't do any harm for her to keep having it. It's only an issue if they're drinking out of bottles all day, just not good for teeth. My DD went from having a bottle of milk to having a cup, when she was nearly 2, and carried on with that until she was about 4. DS stopped his much younger because he just didn't like it.

Thought you might like the guidelines on how much milk they should be having once they are one Smile.
