Weaning - is noisy eating normal?

Hi

I am currently weaning my 8 month old. We started weaning at 7 months - until this EBF. I am generally taking the BLW route - breakfast is all BLW and self feeds a loaded spoon etc. Lunch and Tea I will spoon feed if still hungry after 30 mins of self feeding/playing/squashing food Xmas Smile

The thing I am wondering is what noise is normal for babies eating? I realise I sound odd Xmas Blush but my first born had significant problems with her oesophagus which went undetected until she couldnt eating anything at all at 8mths. She was a fussy feeder, noisy eater and ultimately a frequent vomiter at mealtimes and food refuser. In fact the problem cant be completely resolved so she still is not someone to compare to. Whilst I really am not trying to worry I cant help but.
So far so good with this little lady, settled, happy, not refusing any foods so far and no sickyness. However she does sometimes get a little noisy - I could only describe it as sounding like she has a cold - it does pass.
Its just noisyness is one of the myriad of symptoms my other daughter had and I have not weaned any other babies to know if this is usual.
Do/have your babies made a noise when feeding?

Thanks

Tbh I would say that babies do tend to be noisy eaters. They experiment with food and the noises it makes. I'm sure dd is fine but if due to your previous experience you are concernedthere is no harm in asking your health visitor or other hcp imo. But in general I don't think its unusual
