Petits Filous

If my LO (8 months old) has more than 1/2 a little pot, he becomes constipated. THis has happened with yoghurt as well. He has eaten oter diary (butter, milk cooked in food, cheese) with no problem. Has anyone experienced this? Could it be an allergy/intolerance?

petit filous are very full of sugar and unecessary ingredients.

Strawberry Yoghurt: Fromage Frais, Sugar, Water, Strawberry Purée From Concentrate (5%), Fructose, Colour: Concentrated Aronia Juice; Stabilisers: Pectin, Guar Gum, Xanthan Gum; Calcium Phosphate, Modified Maize Starch, Flavourings, Acidity Regulator: Lactic Acid; Vitamin D.

maybe try a different yoghurt type that has less artificial ingredients and less or no sugar to see if it has the same effect.

Yeo Valley and Rachel's Organic both do kids yoghurt ranges that have no added sugar in them.

Or, you could try a plain greek yoghurt and add your own fruit puree.

I give my DD the plain petit filous with no sugar in. These don't appear to have any rubbish in, unless anyone knows any better?

I haven't found any other baby yogurts in the supermarket that aren't packed full of sugar.

Just to say that Plum do new organic yoghurts with fruit and no added sugar.

You could just use Greek yoghurt with fruit purees. It's definitely high in fat, and much cheaper than the baby stuff.

Plum fromage frais has no added sugar; it's the only brand that doesn't. Got that from the nutritionist on the EAT study at St Thomas' hospital.
