got any teeth yet?

carrot sticks, cucumber sticks, toast with bit of butter on, mini rice cakes, cheese sticks... Just make sure you keep an eye on her, try things and you will learn what she likes and is good at eating.

Lockets, really??? I would love not to have to puree everything for dd2 like I did with dd1. I am trying to wait until 6 mths to wean (and she already has 3 teeth age 5 months), so this would work???

Waiting until 6 months means you can move onto finger foods right away.

I started trying half a week before 6 months. DS2 would tolerate some purees, but didn't like the whole process. We gave up and went for finger foods. It took about a month before anything went in, but it was still much easier than pureeing stuff. Meals out and travel were/are rather a lot easier, too.

i would stick with softish things then or things that can be sucked a bit first! one-toothed DS loved toast, oatcakes, little bits of cheese, boiled potato bits, raspberries. choked a bit on ricecakes though.

The first teeth are incisors, which are only good for breaking bits off things. The molars are used for real chewing, and don't come for ages.

I'd stick to softish stuff, for choking reasons, but the teeth make little difference at this age. They gum things, as needed.
