Come and play on this thread

I know that often babies get to 17 weeks (or 10 weeks ) and people start making comments about weaning.

But if you want to wait till 26 weeks, there are lots of people who have done and are happy to share their experiences.

Not at all. Ds has 8 teeth and it's not a problem!!

moondog · 11/11/2005 17:33

Mentalists the lot of them.

People just love to interfere don't they??

So weird how our society pushes babies towards their milestones and yet grossly oversentimentalises the state of infancy isn't it?

hunker haven't you got anyhthing better to think about??

hunkermunker · 11/11/2005 21:02

Honestly, you start a thread in good faith and people just take the piss

OK, I am confused. DS is almost 4, so maybe I am a bit behind. Weaning was recommended to commence at around 16 weeks, is that too early?
It didnt seem to be a problem at the time.

oh hunker only being flippant AGAIN and narked because I missed all the fun on that thread
actually I was just thinking the other day that if I could have my time again I would absolutely NOT care about weaning. It was all such a stress at the time, completely unnecessarily. I think you do a cracking public service hunker in getting people to wait.
good on you I say. wish I had had your advice at the time.

mmm, makes sense that they should be able to sit up first and to be able introduce finger foods from the begining.
However do remember DS loving his grub quite early on. ( oh how things change.)
