Fruit purée and yoghurt

Hi all,

We have bought some of those new plain petit filous. Is there any fruit purée that goes better mixed with yoghurt? I don't know why but I think apple and pear would probably not work as well? I guess that's because you don't get apple and pear flavoured yoghurt....!

If they go down well what yoghurt would you recommend buying to mix with fruit purée?!

Thanks

PS My baby loves mango and just ate a whole slice very well, I had to hol it though as it's very slippy, any tips on babies holding mango, surely if you leave some skin on they end up eating the skin?!

Thanks

I only ever buy big pots of yeo valley plain yoghurt. Apple and pear puree are both nice mixed in but I give the yoghurt and fruit separately and now dc3 can eat apple, banana and pear in chunks I don't puree the fruit. My tip for holding slippery food is to cut a hole in the middle.

Oooh, good tip re:hole MooMOO, will try that! I use plain greek yogurt and don't mix any fruit in to it, just give bits of fruit to DS seperately. He munched on a whole apple today and seemed to enjoy it.

Right I'll try the hole idea tomorrow on some melon!

She has some fruit in pieces and purees on their own I was just wondering about mixing in some yoghurt to add the dairy! We tried her on normal petit filous and she hates it though so will have to see how w get on!

Thanks

We used to use petit filous as the pots were the smallest I could find, but now we just use tubs of plain natural yoghurt - she loves it!

I blended melon, mango and pineapple to mix with plain yogurt or fromage frais. It's lovely.
