DS2 is 'gaggier' than DS1 - reckon it'll affect BLW?

That's it, really! Smile We did BLW at 24 weeks with DS1 and he never looked back. He has never been a gagger or even someone who is sick if he did, rarely, gag on something. DS2, on the other hand, once gagged on my nipple (that must have been a very rare good latch! Grin) and regularly gags on fingers that he's gumming the hell out of (his and other people's).

So, is BLW likely to go down well with him, so to speak?

My son is quite gaggy too! I have just started weaning and he was dramatically gagging on everything. I tried to go straight in with finger foods but he would gag and make himself sick. I tried to just smile and stay relaxed with it so it wouldn't freak him out. I have just perservered and he now has spoon fed porridge and baby rice which is fine, plus the odd bit of finger food and the gagging is definitely lessening. It made it quite scary at first though!

I am too lazy to puree stuff so keep trying and he is definitely getting better each day.

sure, probably. but it'll get better... the gag reflex can be trained, iykwim? best example is porn stars who do deep throat.. they didn't do that from the off, but exposure to - let's call it sausage - moved the gag reflex further down the throat. apols for the example, though, it's a bit gross.
