Tasty shop bought baby food?

Dd is 10 months old and generally eats food I've made especially for her (have various Annabel Karmel recipes in the freezer), or I puree what me and dh have if suitable. She refuses to eat any of the baby foods you can buy. Not saying I'm a brilliant cook or anything, but the jars/pouches etc. are quite bland and seem to lack flavour. I tried the the stage 3 Ella's kitchen cottage pie and a Cow & Gate steamed roast chicken, but she wouldn't eat them. So does anyone know of any tasty baby food?

The reason I ask is we are away next weekend. We're staying in a cottage and the last thing I want to do is spend all weekend cooking. We'll be out and about during the day so would be so much easier to buy something to take.

I liked the hipp or the organix ones best. Think they do a range of 'home cooked' style in each. Wouldn't touch cow and gate again as they smelt rank and tasted worse!

How is she on finger foods? Could she manage a week end on them?

I second the organix ones, and also the Heinz steamed meals. My DD liked the ella's kitchen pasta and rice (only used them due to easy portion size) and the heinz or ella's kitchen sauces. You can then add mashed veg and it's a very easy meal.

My DD likes the Plum ones so much she went through a stage of refusing all other foods for a bit (thankfully not anymore!). They do taste much more like real food then the other brands IMO.

Thanks everyone, will try and get some of the suggestions and try them out. She's ok with finger food, sometimes wolfs it down and other times not interested. I just prefer to spoon feed her if we're eating out. She loves pasta so if the suggestions above don't work I'll take some and make a few quick sauces when we're there.
