Hi there just been to docs with my ds about something and dr commented on what a big lad he is (bout 19-20lb) 91st centile weight 75th centile height. Ive always been abit paranoid as every says hes big. But hes always gained alot of weight. Hes 22 weeks and is having as follows
7am 7oz
11am 5-6oz
12pm 4 cubes of veg purees
3pm 6oz
6pm baby rice mixed with cube of fruit(quantity prob same as 4 cubes)
7pm 8oz
and 2oz of very very weak juice a day.

In the last week hes started sleeping through before this just having 2oz in the night. Hes been weaned since 4 months.

I'm kinda following GF weaning guide and were exactly within the limits.

Am i over feeding?

Confused

Weeell....if you're worried about it you should discuss it further with your GP, or maybe your health visitor if you would like another opinion, and show them your feeding schedule.

By my 23 wk old son is about the same size and weight, and is still primarily breastfeeding. I feed him as much puree as he wants once a day without worrying about quantifying it.

....What does that say about my milk, I wonder?? :D

*by = but

** I reckon he actually eats about 1 heaped tbs of that puree

I bfed on demand so couldn't tell how much dd was getting. She was off the charts having been born on the 50th and when she started solids at 27 weeks, she weighed around 25lbs. She was in the same place for height and weight and at nearly 4 is on the 91st centile for both. She's just tall and slim. As she was bf to demand and then fed herself from the point of weaning she regulated her own appetite and her weight and height always matched so I didn't worry.

Your baby's weight is on a greater centile than the height but once they get more mobile this often evens up.
