Weaning and poo (possible TMI alert!)

Hi all
My DD is 30 weeks old and I started weaning her at about 24 weeks. She's on three small(ish) meals a day now, and four breastfeeds. Almost as soon as she started on solids, her poos went from the breastfed gunk to really solid, formed poos, which gave her quite a bit of trouble at first, but she got used to! I tried to make sure she was getting as much fluid as possible to make it easy for her, but it didn't really make any difference. A few days ago I gave her some pureed mango for pudding at lunchtime and she wolfed it down, probably having more than she should have done. It had quite an immediate effect on her poos, which went runny that afternoon, and looked pretty much like mango and nothing else. I presumed that it had been a bit much for her tummy and her system just got rid of it. However, since then she is still doing really soft (but not runny) quite explosive poos, very much like when she was ebf. Is there a 'normal' consistency once they are on solids, and should I be worried about this change, or it is just that her gut it getting used to new things? She is fine in herself and hasn't got a temperature. I can't speak to our (useless) HV until Wednesday, and she usually just gets the giggles when you mention poo, which is really helpful...!
Never thought I'd be this obsessed with bowel movements...
Thanks in advance

Hello

I can only speak from personal experience but my DD has had a wonderful variety of poos since beginning weaning (TMI warning Grin) from very runny to little pellets and ranging in colour from green, to yellow, to orange and brown. Carrot based poos stain her bottom orange SmileSmileSmile. I assumed this was normal and don't worry as long as she is going fairly regularly.
