DD not drinking

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I couldn't find anywhere else to put this.

My dd is appraoching 16 months old, and is generally a happy easy baby, but she just won't drink any juices or water, and if she does she drinks a tiny ammount. She's on 2 bottles of milk a day 1 in the mornign when she gets up and 1 before bed (each is about 200ml/7oz) and she happily downs both of those, but we just cannot get her to drink during the day.

We're using a sippy cup and she seems happy drinking out of it, we have tried open cups and even a doidy (sp?) cup but she just throws the juice everywhere, she seems to enjoy pouring her juice on table tops and then making patterns in the liquid, but try and get her to take a drink and she just pushes the cup away. We've tried everything, pure fruit juice (both diuted and un diluted) water and various squash type drinks.

She does have wet nappies so isn't obviously dehyrated, but we're worried none the less.

Can anyone offer so advice on how to get her to drink more?

Smoothies
popsicles (home-made)
Milk during the day? (we used to mix a little strawberry smoothie into the milk to make it a different treat to 'normal' milk)

If she's eating a good range of juicy fruit then she'll be getting fluids from those. I'd not worry too much; our dd went thru this too for a bit and then started drinking more.

Thanks very much - we are making sure she has lots of fruit, as she does suffer with constipation when we drop the fruit. We also make sure we add extra liquid to all her meals, hopefully she'll start drinking again, although it seems to bother us more than it does her.

My 12mo is EXACTLY the same. And I'm just doing the same as you.:)
