BLW - 10 mo still waking at night - common? Calorific BLW meal ideas please!

Our large (98th centile, nearly 2 stone!) DS2 is still needing 2 to 3 bottles of milk during the night. We have used BLW - is this common with BLW?

From what I can tell so far, it seems to be common with BLW, if so, please could you suggest some 'calorific' foods I can offer him at dinner time?!

Foods he can pick up tend to work better for him, although he is mastering the use of a spoon if we load it for him (he won't let us feed him anything!). Currently he is offered what I consider to be normal meals (the same as we and or his older brother eats) e.g. protein (fish/meat), with carbs (pasta/rice/spuds), veg and a pudding of some sort.

Thanks in advance!

Our 9 month old has only just stopped night bottles in the last couple of days (fingers crossed!!).

It's coincided with her having full fat yoghurt rather than fruit after dinner, but that might be a coincidence I suppose. She has LOADS of it though, she absolutely loves it.

nut butters/avocadoes etc on oatcakes are good, i found. regarding dinner, what time is he eating? both of mine needed to eat really early, absolutely five pm at the latest, in order to fill up. after that they would be too tired, not eat, and drink more milk at night.

Just a tip someone else told me - make sure he is getting some protein at tea time because that keeps you full for longer than just carbs. I normally include some hummus or scrambled egg if there isn't time for a full on meal prep.

Fab, thank you all! I will try all the above (in fact i would try most things to get more sleep these days!)

Grated cheese. Fat/protein filler.
