Food causing unsettled nights

Has anyone experienced this? Recently started BLW dd (6.5 mo) and this last week her food intake has increased particularly at teatime (although still not much going in). Before weaning she used to go to bed at 6.30pm with milk feed, dreamfeed at 10.30pm and then sleep through til apprx. 8am. These last few night's she has woken up at random times and the only way I have been able to settle her has been giving her milk (even though her milk intake during the day is still the same).
If this is due to her eating now, does the sleep eventually settle down again?
Have also posted in sleep!
Any advice/info would be great.

Bump - me too, DS 6.75 mo but a mixture of purees and baby led. He used to sleep like a log, with dream feeds at 10:30 and 3:30. He's now waking several times and yelling for food. I'm BFing him whenever he does this, but he's still ravenous, and will eat anything we give him in the morning and still open his mouth for more.

Me too!
I had a thought today that
a) it could be a growth spurt so she is demanding more milk, and I guess this is the time to try and up the solids, as I would rather not be increasing milk feeds at this stage. So I think I may do some spoonfeeding as well as BLW. Or
b) teething??? has no teeth so far, and tonight since bed at 6.30pm she has been crying and whimpering on and off, have had to resettle once. Also she is a bit bunged up but not ill IYSWIM. Is that a sig of imminent teeth?

Any similarities with you Beanlet?

I would suggest to drink some Baby Stomach Ease tea yourself - if you are still BFing - and give little amounts to your baby too. Helps with babies digestion. It works a treat and is calming as well. Was our life saver when my LO started with solids. Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip Zara. Will give it a go if problems continue.

I had this with DS (now 13 months). He had bad wind and took a couple of weeks to get used to food in his system (we did BLW from 6 months). When he gets wind (then & now), he wants bf at the end of every sleep cycle for comfort & to get it out!

That sounds like hard work Angeldog! Things seem to have calmed down with dd being unsettled now. Although she has started getting up earlier (6.30am) grrr. I know, I know I'm lucky compared to some but it's just hard to adjust to earlier starts. Anyway that's another story!

:) Slightly Envy - DS has always been a 6.30 waker, but we've been lying in till 8am a lot recently! Grin
