How much milk for a 10month old?

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone had any thoughts on how much milk a 10mth old should be taking in a day?
My DD has been having 1x180ml FF first thing (7.30am), another 180ml at around 3pm, and a 240ml at 6.40pm. This is in addition to her 3 meals, at 8ish, 12ish and 5.30ish. Those meals are a mix of purees and finger food.

But recently she has totallt gone off her milk and it is an effort to get more than 50ml in her at a feed sometimes.

She has had a cough and cold so initially I thought that was related as she tends to go off food when poorly, but this has been for over a week now, so I wondered if we're offering her too much milk?!

She's also being a bit of a numpty with her proper food. Having had several weeks of eating brilliantly she now needs lots of distractions to play with while being fed which is slightly odd!

Any advice would be welcome!

Thanks,
Lisa

DD is 10 months and is still having between 5 and 7oz 6 times a day, as well as solids (BLW)

My Dd is 10 months and has about 4 bottles of about 8 oz every day. Sometimes she may refuse one of them. Sometimes she will only have a few ounzes. Some weeks she realy loves her milk, some weeks she goes off it. No idea why. My DD also gets very distracted at mealtimes so I completely sympathise. HOwever she does the same thing at bottle times. Only I or DP can give her a bottle and she wont take it if too many things are going on around her. Just a thought but if your Dd has suddenly become more alert and more easily distracted maybe she wants ot play rather than drink milk. Do you give her a bottle in a quiet room etc...? If not maybe that will help...I think at ten months she should be getting between 500ml to 600mls a day. I would try and include lots of dairy in her food if she isn't taking to milk at the mo. Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

lisbapalea I also struggle to give my DS (11 months) the milk he's suppose to drink, according to the guidelines. The HV told that sometimes babies prefer solid food rather than milk, so if that's the case just make sure she eats plenty of food with calcium (yoghurt, cheese, spinach, etc.)I'm not doing BLW, he eats mainly purées and some finger foods.
Or maybe this is just a phase and she'll got back to milk soon.
And re-distractions: I guess that's normal. Sometimes I give DS a spoon or something else for him to grab while I'm feeding him.

Best of luck

Thanks for responses - good to hear other people have the same problem!

Will keep offering her the 3 bottles as normal, and will just assume, as I am slowly realising, that it is "just a phase" as everything with babies seems to be!

evitas - good tip on the calcium rich food; we're giving her lots of yogurt which is pretty much the only food she's guaranteed to eat when in a fussy phase. She hasn't really got into cheese so maybe I should try a bit harder on that front!

My 10 mo DS drinks very little milk. I am lucky if he drinks 300ml all day. He eats well (BLW) and is gaining weight on his line. All babies are different and I have driven myself mad comparing DS to his peers. I give him 2/3 (sugar free) yoghurts a day and lots of cheese to try to make up for it.

FWIW she who must not be named (I am not a fan but a friend told me this) says between 9-12 months they should go down to about 12oz a day.

my 9 month old is hit and miss with both food and milk.

I mean she generally eats well, but sometimes she skips lunch altogether... and she has milk 8 oz three times a day but doesnt always finish all of them...

i am trying not to stress, but i do think they just get in moods..
