BLW - what to put on toast?

Have started BLW! Just tried out sticks of pear yesterday, and am keen to broaden the repertoire!
What do you put on toast to stop it being dry? Butter? Jam? I know honey isn't allowed yet, and trying to make healthy choices!

Butter initially, and broaden tastes by putting different things on. Marmite goes down well in this house, so does marmalade.

Anything you can mash up a bit! DS likes cream cheese, mashed pear/avocado/banana/nectarine/cooked plum, hummous, baked beans (though that gets very messy!) and is current fave (a last minute scraped together tea) is sweetcorn and mascarpone.

Enjoy! BLW is so much fun :)

Home-made hummous, philadelphia, grated carrots & cheese (v nice!)

St Dalfour jam is excellent - yummy, and sugar-free. Mashed banana, cheese and tomato, baked beans (mashed up to start with, just plonked on whole when baby has the pincer grip), cream cheese and anything mixed in (tinned salmon, herbs, fruit, bits of last nights dinner!!).

unsalted butter or cream cheese are good starters.

if you dont want to go down the jam route yet, you can get fruit puree/concentrate things from health food shops (i think they are called sunwheel.

Thanks everyone! Apologies if that was an idiotic question, I've got the BLW cookbook and it says toast but never mentions what goes on it!
