Hi all, I'm posting a similar thread in the sleeping section as little one is going through a whole lack of sleeping/feeding thing at the moment..I've heard of terrible two's-any chance there is a terrible ten months as well?!
Started weaning daughter at five months and she took to it really well and would eat a good selection of foods, would also take milk from a spouty cup and all was going well until a fortnight ago. She had a day where she was quite sicky and so just offered her milk feeds rather than food and since then she doesn't seem to want to go back to food.
She had mainly been eating mashed foods (some bought some homemade), fruit and cereals and then 3 milk feeds a day (first thing, bedtime and 10pmish). Now however she will only take a few mouthfuls of food and then just turns her head away or bats the spoon away. We've had a bit if success with finger food but again she will only have a few mouthfuls before leaving it. The only thing she will eat with no fuss are pears, bread and fromage frais.
So I guess my question is do we just let her eat pears, bread, fromage frais and hope she grows out of it on the basis its better she eats something than nothing-or should we keep trying to give her other foods?
I don't know if its related or not but for the past couple of months her sleep has been all out and the past two weeks although she initially sleeps well, after her 10pm ish feed she will wake every hour absolutely screaming. Maybe thats a whole different story?!
Thanks for reading and hopefully helping :)
Right am off to bed now as little one is at nursery for the day :o
