Please can i have some adivce?
My DD is 1year now & is still very dependant on the bottle. she has 3 8oz of formula a day (before napping)still and falls asleep whilst sucking (she wont fall asleep without it...my fault another thing i need to crack).
As she is so dependant on it still i'm really worried and a little apprehensive about starting the "get off the bottle" weaning process. i want her to start taking milk from a sippy cup/beaker, and i dont want her to be so depnadant on the bottle.
Has anyone got any advice for me? thank you in advance

DS didn't stop having milk in bottles til he was about 2.

Personally I wouldn't bother if it's just for milk. Will she drink water out of a sippy cup?

It's a good idea to get them off bottles at this age if you can. Mine went from bottles to Tommy Tippee lidded cups, to Anyway up cups relatively easily. The sippy cups comes later I think. DD1 could competently drink from a cup from aged 2ish.

Why don;t you want her to have a bottle? If it's only 3 a day and if she doesn't wander round with a bottle in her mouth and if she doesn't spend all night sucking on it I don;t see the problem. She's only a baby still.

same experience as choufleur
my dd was still on bottles at 3

thanks for your replies. yes she will have water / juice from a lidded cup easily.
I think i'm panicking because several of my mum friends babies of the same age now only drink from lidded cups so i sort of panicked and thought maybe im not being a good mum by giving her a bottle...
but i apreciate your advice.
