how much fibre should a baby have?

Hi there, I'm new so apologies in advance if I don't get the etiquette right!

I have just started weaning my 6 month old DD, and I keep reading that I shouldn't give her too much fibre... but how much is too much? She is pretty small, about 6.2kg so I don't want to fill her little tummy up with fibre, but most carbs are pretty fibre-y aren't they?

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

its more about avoiding too much wholemeal foods i.e. a child shouldnt have a fully wholemeal diet till the age of 5 (brown, rice, wholemeal bread, wholemeal pasta, etc). We do white pasta, a mix of white/wholemeal bread and white rice.

from the babycentre website:

A high-fibre diet is not suitable for babies or young children. Occasional use of wholemeal bread, pasta and grains is fine, but too many of them could fill up your child's tummy, not allowing room for other foods. Do not add bran to your baby's food since it prevents some important minerals from being absorbed. Do offer your child a variety of starchy foods, including wholegrain varieties, but don't use wholegrain foods exclusively until your child is five years old.

Thanks Seona1973

Is there any grams per day type guidance, like there is with salt, or do I just need to chill out a bit? :)
