Do you microwave your baby purees?

To defrost/heat them up I mean? I did it this morning and was amazed how hot a little bit of pear puree got in just a few seconds. Think I will go back to warming in a bowl. But then I keep reading you're meant to heat everything till boiling then let it cool. Is this true even with just fruit and veg?

I microwave- even the smallest amount. I bought some v cheap small (approx 100 ml volume) pots with lids which I use- and once piping hot transfer into clean cold bowl- helps it to cool quickly. i would heat to piping hot to be on safe side whether fruit/ vey or meat/fish etc

Can I ask why you transfer to another bowl? Is it just to help cool it down?

I microwave stuff - it does get hot very quickly and transfering the food to a cold bowl does just help to cool it down. You have to get meat/fish piping hot, but fruit and veg not so much. Make sure you stir it well and check the temperature with your lips before you offer it.

I microwave too and transfer into a cool bowl. And add milk, water, yougurt... to cool it down further when too hot. I don't reheat fruits puree sometimes not veg either.
Always mix very well and for a long time, and does the lip test.
