Can I give my 8 month old cows milk with cereal?

He's having formula in bottles obviously 3x a day.
But he likes porridge and weetabix and ive been mic=xing it with cows milk, but I noticed that on the farleys rusks box it says you should use formula

this would be a real bloody faff if I had to do it for cereal every morning

It would be better to stick to his regular formula.
At only 8 months he is probably not ready to digest cow's milk yet.

just make up an extra few ounces in a spare bottle when you make up the rest of them

Disagreeing here - I thought the advice was that their drinking milk up till 1 year should be breastmilk or formula, but that they could have cows' milk in things, such as cereal. Then they can have cows' milk as their main drink from 1.

I breastfed DS and carried on beyond 6 months but after 6 months I started giving porridge and Weetabix made up with cows' milk, and DS seems fine!

I didn't do the rusk thing, so don't know about that (just reading back over the OP) but I'm sure I was told 'normal' milk was fine for cereal.

full fat cows milk is fine with cereal and in foods from 6 months as long as the main drink remains formula/breastmilk.
