I know it sounds silly but am kinda in a rut about what to cook for DS (8 months). This week he is having salmon with potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots and butternut squash.

Last week he had chicken with sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, carrots and butternet squash (they do a good size back of the mixed veg in Asda, in my defence ).

I tried looking at some of the jars of baby food to get some ideas but still drawing a blank. The only things he won't eat are swede and parsnip.

He can pretty much eat anything now, right?

Any suggestions appreciated

Cheesy splats?

Left over mash dipped in milk, flour and grated cheese then fry for a couple of minutes until crispy.

They go down very well in this house (DD age 1 loves them) I can't take creit for the recipe though someone posted it on MN a few months ago.

DD also likes watermelon,mango fingers,baked beans,mac cheese.

Can I use full fat milk or do I have to express? I'm very confused about milk use! Same with the macaroni cheese.

They do sound yummy though - might make some for me

dd (7months) just gets whatever we are eating. mashed up with a fork. I just don*t use salt and very little spices or put a portion aside before seasoning.

I use full fat milk in cooking and on cereal after 6 months old.

More stuff I have thought of:

Little pots of custard.
Dried apricots.
Yougurt and Banana mashed up for breakfast.
Bowl of cheerios without milk (just so she can try to feed herself).
Apple crumble.
Bananas and custard.
Corn on the cob (I buy the frozen ones @8 for a pound in Asda and she loves to sit chomping on one).
