Disneyworld 2027…. On site hotels?

Hi everyone,

We are looking to visit Disneyworld with our kids (6 & 2) in 2027.

I have narrowed it down to three Disney hotels. Is there anyone who has personal experience of staying at any of these resorts that can give a recommendation?

• Riviera
• Beach Club
• Grand Floridian

Beach Club is the front runner right now, just in terms of the pool and the proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. However, the newly refurbished rooms in GF look FAR nicer….

Can anyone give us a steer?

We absolutely love Beach Club. You just can’t beat the location or the pool. And it being kind of one with Yacht and Boardwalk and Epcot gives you so many restaurant options.
The rooms are great for Disney, get one with a full balcony. They are all basically two big beds with some random furniture and a tiny bathroom aren’t they. I can’t see how GF rooms could make up for BC/YC location.

Out of those three, I would definitely pick Beach Club. The location is great -5 minutes’ walk from Epcot and 20 (or a lovely boat ride) to Hollywood Studios. The pools are great and the Boardwalk area is very charming.

Grand Floridian is considered the “best” but it’s only really convenient for Magic Kingdom and all the rooms are in seperate buildings from the main lobby, which I’m not keen on.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any Disney property, they all have their own pros and cons but Beach Club is your best bet.

Beach Club is the nicest BUT probably not the best bet for a first visit with young children.

Firstly, the park of their greatest interest will be Magic Kingdom and Beach Club will require you to take resort buses (or Ubers) to get there. And you really want to be using the iconic and stylish (but not substantial) mono-rail to get around.

I find GF to be a little too plastic/synthetic. I'd recommend Poly instead. It's far more relaxed and laid-back.

Remember that a survey of young children found that the favourite part of their WDW visit was the swimming pool. Remember that when you pay your CC bill. But enjoy. We're back there in August staying in our villa at Old Key West.

Thanks for all the advice, incredibly helpful and has helped sway me towards Beach Club. Although I hadn’t considered the poly, so will have a quick look there too….

My husband is empathetically NOT a Disney person and I’m feeling the pressure to get the hotel right considering it’s unbelievable he’s agreed to do this hol at all 🤣

With 6 and 2 I’d go for grand Floridian. We always stayed in the Bay Lake Tower at the contemporary as it’s similarly close but with villa style accommodation. Plus a bit cheaper than GF. But it may be considered a bit tired now, I haven’t checked.
I’d stay in beach club when they are older when the walking proximity to Epcot and HS will be more useful.
If you’d rather be close to the other two parks personally I like Swan Reserve. But with two small ones the extra 5-10 mins walk may not work.

BLT is a DVC hotel. With DVC, the members pay annual dues and much of that is spent on regular scheduled updates every three and five years. The amount of tiredness just reflects how close you are to the next refresh.

Of those 3 beach club as it’s lovely to have 2 parks so accessible though I’d also through boardwalk into the mix there.
polynesian is also lovely and very easy to get to Magic Kingdom.
Im a DVC member and last year had a split stay between Grand Floridian which was amazing, and they transport your luggage for you on day on transfer, would this be a solution? Though I know not possible taking advantage of free dining plan.

I stayed at dolphin and still felt in the Disney bubble just a lot cheaper (and hotel is far less themed)
could get boat to Epcot and Hollywood or busses to others. We also walked a few times to Epcot /hollywood (adult no kids)

i think like a pp mentioned it depends which Park you will be visiting most. If it’s likely to be magic kingdom then a monorail is your best bet because if you have to bus it to magic kingdom you’ll need to put your stroller down which we found inconvenient when our child was sleeping.

we have previously stared at the boardwalk where you could walk to both Epcot and HS. Beach club does have the best pool though I’ve heard.

we have stayed at GF and Poly previously - but prefer and are staying at Poly this year, mainly for the convenience of the monorail with - baby and 3 yr old.
