We are considering taking our 6yr old 6 to WDW in the feb half term. We can't take her during term time as we are both teachers!
Couple of points I would really appreciate any advice on
-Is a week enough time? I know it will be full on, but as she's quite little still we won't be doing the big rides...
-Anyone been at this time of year-ideas about the weather/how busy
-recommendations/tip on who to book through. Maybe I'm naive (haven't been to WDW since the 90s) but the prices are so high!
TIA

A week is fine so long as you set your expectations appropriately. It won't be as relaxing because of your (presumably) desire to get as much done as possible.

Feb is a great month weather wise. Mostly warm but it could even be a bit chilly at times so pack a sweater. But you have no risk of hurricanes and their disruption.

One week in Feb is busy but I'm not sure if that's when your half term is.
Check "wdw crowd size by month" in Google.

Get the latest "Unofficial Guide" to Walt Disney World. Read it back front to back and make note of the comment that your child will most likely like the pool best. Will you be happy having spent all that money?

I don’t think it’s worth it for a week and you may come back knackered and need another week to recover . Our teacher son went in the Easter holidays this year and the weather was ok .

Just got back from our 2nd trip. If you stay onsite it’ll make travel to parks quicker / easier and you get an extra 1/2 hr before the park opens each morning (or 2 x 2hrs extra a week in Epcot and Magic Kingdom if you’re in a Delux) so can max out your park time, but it is only 5 full days so if you do each park plus a water park then you’ve used your time up. (In reality you’ll most likely hop about and rest at resort / hotel in middle of day).

There is so much to see and do, the scale of Disneyworld can’t be comprehended till you’re there (it’s the size of San Francisco as we learnt in the bus last week). I’d wait until you can do a bit longer, minimum of 10 days and even then you’ll have things you won’t get done (we haven’t done it all yet)

Check when the presidents day national holiday is as it will get busy. Also check what Disney special events are on eg marathon.
